Village doctor in wheelchair

Jiao Junying conducts treatments at a clinic in Nanjie Village in Xingtai, north China's Hebei Province, Feb. 24, 2022. Jiao Junying, 46, is a village doctor in Nanjie Village Clinic. When he was a child, Jiao was afflicted with poliomyelitis, which disabled his lower limb. However, he determined to become a doctor from very young because he wanted to bring health to people.In 2015, Jiao Junying became a family doctor in Nanjie Village. Despite in a wheelchair, he takes on the responsibility to treat patients, give physical examinations to the elderly, conducts follow-up visits to those with chronic diseases, and have established health records for the villagers.
